Designed to create an environment conducive to the formation of world class Engineers and Technologists, the standards of excellence maintained by these institutes are recognised and respected world over. Ranked amongst the top institutes of the world, the degree awarded by the IITs is at par with that awarded by the elite universities in the world.
Every year the IITs conduct a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), to select candidates for the four year B.Tech., Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech), B. Pharm., five year B.Arch., M.Tech. and M.Sc. courses offered at their campuses located in Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mumbai & Roorkee.
